Job Description Summary
Assists more senior sales executives and managers with larger and complex prospects and/or accounts. Directly increases and retains sales of Vanguard products and services for medium to small size accounts and/or territories. Covers less complex prospects and/or accounts under general supervision. Uses both in person and remote relationship management techniques.
Core Responsibilities
1. Achieves established sales and retention goals through personal direction of all executive and staff level activities of the sales process.
2. Collaborates with more senior sales executives and sales managers to develop a strategic sales plan.
3. Supports directly medium to small sales relationships and plans and executes for material segments under general guidance of more senior sales executives or sales managers. Achieves sales and retention goals within the spirit of Vanguard's Code of Ethics.

4. Drives results by raising awareness of Vanguard's investment capabilities and services through targeted prospecting activities. Prospect activities may include cold calling, face-to-face meetings, targeted mailings, hosting seminars, and attendance at industry conferences.
5. Develops, maintains, and broadens relationships with prospects and client organizations. Gathers thorough understanding of the philosophy and dynamics of the prospects and client organizations.
6. Acts as a trusted adviser to prospects and clients and positions Vanguard products and services effectively.
7. Develops knowledge of regulatory environment and ensures that Vanguard operates in compliance with applicable regulations.
8. Collaborates and provides insight and direction to internal partners.
9. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Two years related experience. Prior sales experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Does not require regulatory license and/or registration
- Preference for CFA charter holders or candidates
