Investment Marketing Project Manager

As part of the European Investment Marketing team you will be responsible for ensuring more investors find success with Vanguard's world-class investment management capabilities and products. Your role will be to ensure that regulatory change and product enhancements are managed effectively and communicated clearly internally and externally. In this function, you will be a key driver of implementing strategic product change designed to deliver against the overarching European B2B (business to business) and D2C (direct to consumer) strategy.

The ideal candidate will have very strong project management, communication, marketing and relationship management skills with the ability to persuade and influence across multiple stakeholders and is eager to learn.

This is a truly collaborative role that intersects across product research and implementation, channel marketing, editorial, and our B2B and D2C businesses. Turn your passion for marketing and investment products into a world of opportunity at Vanguard!

In this role, you will:

  • Report into the Head of Investment Marketing Europe.
  • Lead marketing, regulatory and enterprise projects in very close collaboration with investment marketing team members, channel marketing, distribution, product management and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Support the investment marketing team in European product launches and G2M marketing strategy and execution.
  • Work in an agile way to ensure that your projects are scheduled and executed according to the agreed roadmap and timelines.
  • Independently lead and execute investment marketing programs, initiatives or research projects to improve the positioning and communication of our products.
  • Plan and implement legal and regulatory changes including downstream impact execution.
  • Work with editorial, digital and production teams to create prioritised marketing documents, insights, sales materials, communications and digital journeys
  • Create materials to educate crew and clients on the features, benefits of product changes and ensure these are consistently applied across all client segments.
  • Ensure regular communication with all key stakeholders and management to ensure all are aligned around priorities, deliverables, deadlines and key results.
  • Manage legal, compliance and subject matter expert signoffs to ensure materials are compliant and appropriate.

What it takes

  • Minimum 5 years related work experience in asset management or financial services.
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent experience required.
  • An ideal candidate will have experience in project management, strategic product positioning and communication with strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in the financial industry is a plus
  • Experience in delivering cross-departmental and interdisciplinary projects with strong project management skills.
  • Very strong interpersonal communication skills (assertive, consensus building). Ability to persuade and influence stakeholders to achieve a coordinated process with optimal outcomes and be able to steer and drive the strategic roadmap.
  • Comfortable navigating within a matrix organisation, exposure to senior management and presenting in front of senior audiences.
  • Experience with financial advisors, wholesale investment professionals or retails clients an advantage.
  • Experience in agile working tools and methods a plus.
  • German or Italian language an advantage but not mandatory.
