What it Takes:
As the Head of Fund Ecosystem Operational Readiness, you will be accountable for developing a global team of managers and specialists in leading the charge to establish the infrastructure and business capabilities that support best in class program and project management, data and analytics, and workforce solutions driving automation across Middle and Back Office. Your role will involve anticipating challenges and collaborating with peers, business partners, both internal and external stakeholders, such as Investment Management Group and Banking partners, to ensure seamless execution of the long-term strategy.
Core Responsibilities:
- Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Manages multi-year, cross-divisional programs independently as a program lead. Drives all phases of the program lifecycle from inception through implementation while ensuring that business objectives are delivered with high quality and within targeted timeframes.
- Creates and maintains a multi-year program strategy that clearly identifies specific actions and tasks needed to achieve future state goals. Drives communication to many different audiences within Vanguard on the overall goals and outcomes of the program.
- Builds and maintains strategic relationships across sites, departments, divisions, and internal and external partners to support their program initiatives. Develops strong relationships with program leadership, sponsors, and workstream leads.
- Holds responsibility over program budget; monitoring cost variances, and forecasting and allocating program costs. Ensures all steps are taken to mitigate risk and maintains control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten years of relevant delivery experience and ten years of experience in leading programs and projects.
- Previous people-leadership experience within the Investment Management and Financial Services Industry.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
