Reviews complex fund financial reporting deliverables completed by third party service providers to verify accuracy and resolves outstanding issues. Leads the development, implementation and administration of various strategic initiatives within the department.
Core Responsibilities
1. Performs analytical review of reports for medium complexity funds for accuracy. Validates results and performs control checks to ensure accurate results from service providers. Resolves data issues or requests for information.
2. Oversees the completion of the group's key deliverables. Reviews selected financial reports for accuracy. Manages dividend and capital gain distribution process and tax reporting functions as assigned. Analyzes financial reports, and researches and resolves items that exceed established tolerance levels.

3. Completes fund financial statements and reports for shareholder and regulatory reporting in accordance with local regulatory reporting requirements. Serves as escalation point of contact for the department. Shares knowledge and assists colleagues with problem resolution.
4. Identifies and documents any areas of control gaps. Recommends improvement measures and manages the strengthening and maintenance of the internal control framework.
5. Manages policies and procedures and identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations for process improvements. Ensures controls are implemented and executed to mitigate risk.
6. Develops and maintains broad understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and ensures compliance. Keeps current on global regulatory changes that will affect fund financial statement disclosures, and works with third party service providers and auditors to develop and implement changes.
7. Facilitates the fund certification process, including scheduling and preparing necessary certification documents.
8. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years related work experience in financial services or financial reporting.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Finance or Accounting degree preferred.
- CPA, CA or other financial designation preferred.
