We have an exciting opportunity in Investment Management and Finance Risk (IMFR) for someone interested in expanding their investment and finance acumen, developing skills within risk management, and supporting the IMG and Finance division's risk maturity. IMFR plays an important role to support Vanguard's $10 trillion global asset management footprint.
We are currently looking for a Risk Analyst for Finance Risk within our IMFR team which is part of Vanguard's Global Risk and Security Division. Your role will involve working with critical functions across the Finance Division to conduct a range of financial, operational, and strategic assessments and risk data analysis to support risk-informed decisions. This role provides exposure to the lifecycle of Vanguard's investments and the fund ecosystem across the globe.

You will be seen as a valued partner and trusted resource to enable Vanguard's business strategy; protect clients, crew and assets; and steward a risk-smart culture. The team is comprised of collaborative, hard-working, highly motivated, and technically skilled professionals who consistently deliver high-quality work in an exciting and multifaceted environment. With a number of critical initiatives underway, you will have the opportunity to support the Finance risk team and key business partners with understanding risk implications while proposing solutions to optimize business outcomes within the organization's risk appetite.
In this role you will:
- Conducts research and provides project management and analytics support for risk assessments.
- Communicates assessment progress and concerns to the leadership team. Documents process workflows, highlights risks, controls, and potential gaps.
- Prepares and presents risk assessment reports on findings, trends, and exposures to leadership. Assists in preparing an overall view of risk for the division. Creates and maintains risk exposure metrics for the division.
- Supports enterprise, division, and subdivision risk governance forums through the creation and application of standard and customized content, reporting and business analytics.
- Identifies opportunities for improvements to risk management plan.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What it takes:
- Three years related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
