The Warehouse SC Network Planning Specialist creates, coordinates, and maintains the diligence plan to assess and integrate Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), new multi-market customers, and customer mapping plays into the US Foods supply chain, with a specific focus on warehouse capacity, infrastructure, slotting, and order picking. They partner with center planning, field operations, Industrial Engineering, Facilities/Construction, and other key teams to assess warehouse capacity, storage, and racking and to design and optimize US Foods warehouses. They provide analysis of costs and implementation impacts to support M&A diligence and other project planning, participating in projects from conception through integration.

Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Supply Chain Warehouse Network Planning Specialist position is completed 100% remotely anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports M&A diligence and integration, new business onboarding and customer mapping processes, greenfield/brownfield projects, automation, and business continuity planning, recommending the most safe and cost-effective warehousing solutions and providing analytical support from planning to execution.
- Runs analytical tools and prepares what-if scenario analysis for warehouse capacity and outbound processes, with evaluation of the impacts to network economics and warehouse capacity and productivity metrics.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in warehousing for all Network Planning engagements.
- Partners with the Warehouse Excellence (Industrial Engineering) and Facilities/Construction teams to assess risk, improve storage capacity, and develop warehousing solutions that support US Foods' overall business and Supply Chain strategy.
- Prepares model inputs using established data sets and tools, and by developing ad-hoc analysis to meet individual model requirements.
- Monitors and analyzes warehouse capacity, outbound production, and business forecasts to ensure valid modeling parameters and apply them to project assessments.
- Creates model documentation, packages the business case, and prepares presentation content for communicating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinates multi-functional groups of SMEs to develop solutions to specific distribution problems and what-if scenarios, and to ensure projects deliverables are on-track and on budget.
- Analyzes business and technical data from the WMS (Warehouse Management System), slotting, and work standards environments, and contextualizes it with Network Planning inputs and business forecasts.
- Supports established workflows within Commercial Partnerships, such as new business onboarding, customer mapping, project intake, etc.
- Completes on-site visits and provides investment recommendations for potential acquisition sites, existing sites, and new expansion sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience designing or optimizing physical space, racking/slotting, and flows for warehouses, distribution centers, or fulfillment centers.
- Working knowledge of warehouse preferred work methods and production measurements.
- Experience creating content for presenting financial impact statements to senior leaders.
- Strong proficiency in Warehouse Management, slotting, or work standards software
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Project management skills, including developing timelines, creating presentation artifacts, and coordinating multiple partners and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical skills using and a fact- and- data-based approach.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies, a firm understanding of Lean principles, process flow, and minimal constraint design principles.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Up to 25% travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Work experience designing and implementing a new build or full redesign of a warehouse in the cold chain or food distribution industry.
- Work experience with a merger or acquisition.
- Experience directly managing projects.
- Proficient with Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, and/or SAP.
- Experience interfacing with OSHA or local safety regulators.
- Experience with warehouse automation such as ASRS, conveyor systems, automatic palletizer technologies.
- Experience using advanced data and statistics tools such as Alteryx and Minitab and writing queries using SQL.
- Experience in the food distribution industry.
- Experience working with union employees.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, business, math, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering preferred.

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $80,300 and $107,100. In New York, the expected compensation for this role is between $94,700 and $126,300. In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $90,000 and $120,000 . In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $90,000 and $120,000. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
