Summary
The position is located in the Bureau of Global Public Affairs,(GPA/DC/VID). The Office of Video creates tailored video content for the GPA managed Department social media platforms designed to inform global audiences about U.S. foreign policy. As a technical expert for the Office of Video, s/he plans, coordinates, and oversees the Bureau's digital video productions, including liaising with stakeholders across the Department and inter-agency on policy messaging and distribution strategies.
Duties
- Serves as a project coordinator for digital video-based programs and projects in support of GPA's public affairs and public diplomacy mission and Department foreign policy goals.
- Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders (overseas posts, Regional and Functional Bureaus, GPA Policy Officers, interagency organizations, and public and private sector organizations).
- Gathers internal and external data and reports qualitative and quantitative data as it relates to individual video products or groups of products.
- Represents GPA at on-location shoots, meetings, and conferences with managers of public and private institutions and senior staff officials of other agencies.

Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience in video production, modern visual communication strategies, and digital distribution platforms to produce high quality video and motion graphic productions.
- Experience applying qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the analysis of established programs, video production methods and/or project management workflows.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and overseeing digital video projects for a video production team.
