Updater, Inc. is in search of an emerging Frontend Engineer with foundational Javascript expertise to join our MoveHQ division. This role is ideal for an individual with a budding technical background in Java and a passion for frontend development. You will contribute to the development and enhancement of the MoveHQ move management platform, ensuring user-friendly, scalable, and innovative frontend solutions.

About the Role

  • Develop Frontend Features: Assist in the development and implementation of new user interface features for the MoveHQ suite of products, primarily using Javascript and modern frontend technologies.
  • Support Backend Integration: Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and ensure seamless connectivity and functionality across the platform.
  • Contribute to Technical Standards: Help maintain and adhere to defined technical standards and best practices for frontend development, under the guidance of more senior engineers.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Participate in testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the frontend meets high usability, accessibility, and performance standards.

  • Developing Frontend Developer: You have 1-3 years of experience in frontend development, with a strong foundation in Javascript and exposure to frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and frontend Javascript frameworks.
  • Collaborative and Eager to Learn: Ready to grow your technical skills and collaborate closely with more experienced engineers to deliver quality software products.
  • Understanding of Software Development Practices: Familiar with basic software development practices and tools, including version control systems like Git and development methodologies like Agile.
  • Testing and Debugging Skills: Basic proficiency in testing and debugging, understanding the importance of delivering reliable and bug-free user interfaces.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, capable of working well in a team environment and articulating technical challenges and solutions to team members.

Additional Qualifications

  • A keen learner, open to receiving feedback and continuously improving your technical and professional skills.
  • Motivated to take on small-scale projects and contribute effectively within a team setting.

This posting is anticipated to remain open until November 20th, 2024. The new hire salary range for this position is $75,000 to $150,000 annually. Factors which may affect the starting pay within this range include skills, experience, and other qualifications aligned with Updater's internal leveling guidelines.
