Senior IT Platform Lead
Hybrid -Basingstoke or Dorking 2-3 days a week minimum

We are recruiting a Senior Platform Lead to provide technical and managerial leadership in the development and operation of our core platform infrastructure. The successful candidate will be able to lead the way in architecting and overseeing the development of platform management such as (but not limited to) self-service platforms, infrastructure provisioning, container orchestration, and cloud-native architecture bringing to bear their extensive knowledge in best practices in platform management and infrastructure as code (IaC).

Requirements:
• Architect and oversee the development of self-service platforms for CI/CD, and infrastructure provisioning
• Experienced Platform Engineer with a strong technical background and leadership experience, capable of driving innovation and mentoring teams.
• Define and execute the platform roadmap in alignment with organisational goals
• Leverages deep understanding of IT, emerging technologies, and technical capabilities to guide and influence stakeholders and teams in developing solutions, build, deployment, testing and ongoing management of IT platforms
• Understands patterns and trends that contribute to utilising key performance indicators and critical success factors that will improve the performance of the organisation
• Proven experience delivering and maintaining scalable platform solutions in complex environments
• Strong background in cloud platforms (Preferably Azure), infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform), containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD processes
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies to manage platform development cycles
• Experience in managing relationships with cloud service providers and third-party vendors
• Has strong planning, communication and presentation skills, and the capability to listen and influence
