We are seeking a skilled and experienced Zscaler ZPA Engineer to join our IT Networking team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operational support and management of Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Zero Trust security principles, networking, and cloud-based security technologies. The Zscaler Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and efficient access to applications and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Implementation:
    • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of the Zscaler environment, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Integrate ZPA with existing network and security infrastructure, ensuring seamless and secure connectivity.
  • Monitoring & Management:
    • Monitor the performance and security of the ZScaler environment, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
    • Implement and manage Zscaler policies, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.
    • Conduct regular audits of Zscaler configurations to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Troubleshooting & Support:
    • Provide Level 2/3 support for ZPA, ZIA, and ZDX related issues, working closely with the IT support team and vendors as needed.
    • Troubleshoot complex network and security issues related to ZPA and ZIA and provide effective solutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with network engineers, security teams, and application owners to ensure smooth integration and operation of ZPA.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on Zscaler related projects and issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Zero Trust security and Zscaler technologies.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the security and efficiency of the ZPA environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) or similar Zero Trust solutions.
    • Strong understanding of Zero Trust security principles and cloud-based security technologies.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX), configuration and management.
    • Experience with networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.) and security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS).
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with network analysis tools.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications:

  • Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Additional certifications in network security (e.g., CISSP, CCNA Security) are a plus.
