Position: Head of Financial Planning and Performance
Location: Dorking (with hybrid working, including Basingstoke office)
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer

This is a unique Head of Financial Planning and Performance role is like no other. In this pivotal role, you will drive performance and provide critical financial insights that shape our business's future. Your strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and ability to build strong relationships will be key. As a proactive problem-solver and analytical thinker, you will collaborate with business leaders to support strategic planning and manage expenses effectively.
What will you bring?
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Financial Planning: Spearhead the annual financial planning process, producing insightful projections and forecasts.
- Performance Reporting: Deliver comprehensive financial performance reports to the UK Board and Unum Group.
- Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with business leaders to provide financial insights and support strategic planning.
- Expense Management: Oversee expense budgets and conduct activity-based costing to drive efficiency.
- Management Reporting: Produce and present monthly and quarterly management reports.
- M&A Support: Play a key role in M&A activities and maintain relationships with rating agencies.
Requirements:
- Graduate calibre with relevant post-graduate qualifications.
- Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in financial services/insurance.
- You have a strategic mindset and can see the big picture while managing the details.
- Your excellent communication skills enable you to influence and inspire others.
- You excel at building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Your ability to analyse complex data helps you make informed decisions.
- Proactive Problem-Solver: You anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions.
