General Summary:

The Associate Dental Vision Support Specialist is the first level in a three-level career path. Incumbents in this role are primarily responsible for learning and developing the skills, knowledge, and behaviors necessary to successfully maintain member, group, and plan data.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and document simple data change requests to maintain group and individual policies
  • Generate and analyze reports and data to measure productivity and turnaround standards
  • Develop solid business knowledge of the systems, processes, and customer the functional unit owns and supports
  • ­Attain individual and team productivity goals without compromising accuracy, service, or the privacy of our customers
  • Partners effectively with customers of the business area to ensure service standard and customer needs are met
  • Performs system demonstrations to internal and external clients, as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects and initiatives under direction of a senior team member
  • Operate as a team player (e.g., provide and receive feedback, support others, arrange for or provide back-up support as necessary)

Job Specifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • PC skills are essential with a practical knowledge of Microsoft Office product
  • Solid planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Operate with urgency in a real-time service and multifaceted environment
  • Demonstrates consistency in accuracy, quantity, and quality of work

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$36,000.00-$62,400.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
