The role

What will you be doing?
Account Executive - Strategic Accounts

Location: Home based, travel required to Unum offices (Dorking, Basingstoke and London) as well as client and broker sites.

Unum UK are looking for a dedicated Account Executive to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with Account Managers to develop relationships and provide proactive support to our brokers. Your efforts will contribute to new business generation, block growth and retention. You'll act as the main contact between the business and the broker, providing information, expertise and knowledge of our services.

You will proactively manage quote activity, positioning quotes based on customer needs and competition, highlighting Unum's unique proposition. You will assist the Account Managers with Preferred Provider Agreements, owning scheme expansion activities and contributing to the achievement of sales targets.

You will forge strong, trusting relationships with brokers and clients through face to face and virtual meetings, you'll manage local and central campaigns as well as marketing initiatives.

  • Strong passion for sales and proactive account management
  • Demonstratable experience within a customer-focused environment
  • Good time management and the ability to work under pressure
  • Comfortable communicator, ability to present virtually and face to face
  • Experience in technical aspects of insurance products
  • Group Risk Qualification (Preferred)
  • Experience within Group Risk sales (Preferrable)
