Carroll Counseling Center, part of the Optum family of businesses is seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist - PhD, PsyD to join our team as a Testing Psychologist in Mt Airy, MD. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live.
As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care Team, you'll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone.
As a Testing Psychologist, you will work with a wide variety of clients serving the needs of our diverse patient population. You will quickly build rapport with patients and coordinate care with internal and external providers by forming excellent provider-patient alliances. The Testing Psychologist position is in an outpatient clinical setting where you will interact directly with patients.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results
- Complete clinical documentation according to policy

Required Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted (PhD, PsyD) license in the state of Maryland
- 1+ years of experience performing testing on children, adolescents and adults
- Currently eligible to be enrolled in the Medicare program or able to terminate opt-out (if applicable) prior to starting a new position
- Ability to commute to the location in-person
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
- Knowledge and experience in providing neuropsychological testing
- Comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentations
- Comfortable completing diagnostic assessments and general psychiatric testing in an outpatient clinical setting
The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
