As a Senior UX Designer within the Consumer Product Office of UHC, you will work closely with various studio disciplines, design leadership, principle designers, strategists, product and business stakeholders to create compelling UI/UX designs for various features and experiences.

Primary Responsibilities:
- SME/Take ownership for a large feature/ experience
- Build and effectively communicate the design vision with high quality visual artifacts such as wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, storyboards etc.
- Partner with research and strategy teams in the design and fielding of research studies, then translate user needs and research findings into usable design improvements and/or new opportunities
- Interpret insights (analytics, VoC, market feedback etc.) to anticipate user needs and proactively design innovative solutions
- Continually advocate for the user and ensure there is a shared understanding of the problems we are solving (Be the voice of the user in prioritization, new products and features)
- Guide discussion and critique of work, solicit requirements from stakeholders, be a key partner in helping deliver on the vision
- Actively engaged in the team culture and contributing in learning and presentation opportunities across design organization
- Comfort in ambiguity and changing user needs with self-motivation mindset around solving complex problems
- Provide design recommendations based on technical feasibility, usability findings, A11y, legal and design best practices
- Demonstrates curiosity and growth mindset contributing to a product design environment that supports continuous learning and innovation
- Leverages best practice design principles and trends to contribute with insights and stellar user experiences
- Be a trusted design partner in a cross functional team (designers, engineers, product, researchers etc.), delivery designs on time and to the highest quality
- Collaborate and contribute reusable design components in partnership with Design System team
- Makes research and design decisions that takes into health equity considerations (including but not limited to: disability status, health literacy levels, demographics, cultural backgrounds, etc.) to improve healthcare access for all members
- Work on multiple projects at a time

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands on experience with interaction design and/or ux design
- 4+ years of experience working with multiple teams and competing priorities.
- 4+ years incorporating user feedback in the design process (user research, NPS, Voice of the customer)
- 4+ years of experience with Figma design tool
- 2+ years of experience working in cross functional teams
- 2+ years of experience presenting to stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience building and/or utilizing personas to inform design decisions
- Experience working in healthcare
- Experience working with or on Agile teams including planning to support roadmaps, capacity, and sprint planning
- Information architecture experience
- Experience working in a large corporate environment
- Proven track record of driving change in a large, complex matrixed environment even amid ambiguous circumstances
- Proven bias toward action and innovative big-picture thinking while improving processes and optimizing operations
- Proven excellent resource management skills
- Proven ability to foster collaboration and create relationships with individuals on and outside of your direct team
- Proven willing to learn, pivot and grow
- Proven ability to drive a team and business leaders on all initiative phases including achieving clarity on scope and deliverables

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
