Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Scrum Events: Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring productive and time-boxed meetings
  • Coaching Teams: Mentor and coach development teams on Agile principles, practices, and the Scrum framework to enhance their understanding and execution of Agile methodologies
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and help remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress, ensuring smooth workflows and continuous delivery
  • Promote Collaboration: Foster a collaborative team environment by encouraging open communication, transparency, and trust among team members and stakeholders
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals, prioritization of work, and clear communication of project status
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts in identifying areas for process improvement, implementing best practices, and encouraging a culture of continuous learning and adaptation
  • Agile Transformation: Support the organization in adopting Agile practices and principles, guiding teams in their Agile journey and helping to scale Agile methodologies across departments
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on team performance metrics, such as velocity and burn-down charts, to provide insights into team progress and areas for improvement
  • Training and Workshops: Conduct training sessions and workshops for teams and stakeholders to deepen their understanding of Agile practices and enhance their skills
  • Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator in conflicts or disagreements within the team, promoting a healthy team dynamic and ensuring that issues are addressed constructively
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience as an Agile Coach/Scrum Master with a solid focus on delivery and program management in software engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in coaching cross-functional teams on Agile methodologies, including Scrum, and Kanban
  • 4+ years of experience working closely with Product Owners to effectively manage backlogs, prioritize work, and deliver value to stakeholders
  • Proven experience in guiding teams through Agile transformations, implementing Scrum practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and workshops, ensuring teams are engaged and focused on Agile principles
  • Extensive experience in promoting engineering-first and security-first approaches to achieve desired outcomes in software development
  • Solid understanding of Agile metrics and reporting, including velocity, burn-down charts, and other key performance indicators to assess team performance
  • Proven excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients, with the ability to communicate Agile concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), or equivalent) is highly desirable
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry or other regulated environments
  • Familiarity with tools like CA Agile Rally, Confluence JIRA, or other Agile project management software.
