General Role Description:
As a Psychometrician, you will administer and score neuropsychological tests and maintain precise records of test administration to assist in diagnosing neurobehavioral disorders. Testing occurs as a component of the evaluation of patients with known or suspected neurological and psychiatric disorders, including but not limited to neurodegenerative conditions, cerebrovascular disease and stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, brain tumor, learning and intellectual disabilities, ADHD, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other syndromes affecting brain and behavior.
Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer tests to both individuals and groups, ensuring that each session is scheduled appropriately and conducted in a secure environment
- Meticulously score tests using norm tables, verifying that every score accurately matches the testing sheets
- Interpret test results and provide valuable insights into the data collected
- Prepare detailed reports and take the time to debrief patients, explaining their test results clearly and comprehensively
- Summarize case records and offer well-considered recommendations to supervisors, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team

Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a psychometrist or in the practice of psychological testing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or further advanced degree in Psychology or similar field
- Certification in psychometry
Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
