Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.

These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. Primary Responsibilities:

  • As a people leader expected to create an environment for team members to reach their full potential, be themselves and make a meaningful impact
  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery ownership of team deliverables
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with business partners and IT partners
  • Continue to mature DevOps functional full stack ownership (Build/Test/Operate)
  • Functional leadership of global employees as part of Global Integrated Team
  • Enabling/Human Resource management of employees in global locale
  • Continuous improvement of global Employee Experience scores
  • Continuously evolve employee FSE skills/mindset and agile maturity
  • Create a positive, productive team environment where engineers love to work
  • Work closely with Architecture teams to align on architecture and solutions
  • Drive/own solution design for team deliverables and understanding of business problems
  • Design and propose innovative solution options to solve business problems
  • Continuously mentor and grow team members into solutioning capabilities
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure team quality growth and best practices
  • Foster and collaborate with EDM peers on knowledge gained and best practices
  • Ability to write the code and Review the code of the engineers
  • Involve in critical and complex technical discussions
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and ability to document low to highly complex functional designs and data structures, to support business and operational requirement
  • Reviews the work of others

  • Serves as a leader/ mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of formal education
  • 13= years of hands on experience Java/J2EE, Spring, Web Services
  • 10+ years in managing team delivery
  • 12+ years of hands on experience on relational and non-relational database
  • 8+ years on experience in Agile/Devops
  • 8+ years of hands on experience on Micro-Service, Spring-Boot, Kafka, Spring Batch, Rest API
  • 6+ years of hands on experience of building robust infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, OSFI, Jenkins
  • 4+ years of hands on experience on Azure COSMOS DB
  • 3+ years of hands on experience on Azure cloud, Snowflake, React, Redis cache
  • Proven self-driven learning on relevant internal and industry technologies
  • Proven excellent object-oriented programming skills and accomplished performance with Java technologies
  • Solid ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholders
  • Solid architectural and design mindset
  • Proven exceptional ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people
