We are seeking a highly skilled Java Architect with a proven track record of designing and delivering complex software systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java and related technologies, as well as a solid understanding of design principles and patterns. The Java Architect will be responsible for creating high-level design plans for the software architecture, collaborating with other architects and developers, and ensuring that the technical solutions align with the business goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of scalable and performant Java applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and design principles
  • Create architectural designs that address business requirements while balancing scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Define and maintain architectural standards, including coding standards, tools, and platforms
  • Work closely with the development teams to implement and maintain software solutions that align with the architectural vision
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve the development process and product quality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting as needed
  • Document the architecture and maintain architectural artifacts throughout the project lifecycle
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10 + years of professional experience in Java development
  • Proven experience as a Java Architect or similar role, with a portfolio of designed and deployed software solutions
  • Experience with database design and SQL, including NoSQL databases
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • In-depth knowledge of Java and Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) technologies
  • Solid understanding of design patterns, object-oriented design, concurrency, and threading
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Proficiency with development tools such as Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and Docker
  • Proven excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

Preferred Qualification:

  • Certifications related to Java, software architecture, or cloud services
  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React)
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
