JOB PURPOSE:
Unilever Ice Cream will form a standalone separate organization from Unilever effective July '25. Imperative for this is the set up of an independent payroll process for the new organization which is efficient & effective fully compliant to regulatory, financial & reputational requirements. The Payroll Transformation journey that Unilever is currently underway, informs & impacts this separation and would be a key factor for the incumbent to consider in developing their plan.
As the Payroll Lead, your key deliverable will be to design an effective efficient payroll system working in collaboration with Unilever Payroll team, Separation team and the Ice Cream HR team. You will be the single point contact on all things payroll and lead the Payroll of the new company globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the Unilever Separation team to devise a plan to separate & set up the payroll system for the ice cream organization in time for day 0.
- Design the payroll process for the Ice Cream organization - effective, efficient, simple and regulatory, accounting for whether to retain the same services providers as UL.
- Work collaboratively with the UL Payroll & Separation team and country payroll teams in executing the plan
- Function as the main point of contact on all matters linked to payroll for the IC co.
- Work with the other workstream leads (especially Finance, Legal & Supply Chain) to ensure key prerequisites (set up ot legal entities, bank accounts, T&A in factories) track on plan & key interdependencies are accounted for in the payroll plan.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and roadblocks to ensure smooth project progression and governance is maintained.
- Support in the coordination of various aspects of the project including tracking achieving the project timeline, monitoring the project risks, and take necessary corrective actions as needed whilst engaging with relevant stakeholders as required.
- Work alongside in-scope countries to ensure the seamless transition. This includes supporting change management initiatives and training programs as necessary.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders in countries to drive the translation of the plan into clear execution.
- Support the preparation and presentation of project reports to senior leadership and other stakeholders
- Build the Ice Cream payroll team globally, lead and upskill them
- Lead payroll for the new Ice Cream company and ensure compliance & governance essential for a global company.
SKILLS: & EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in HR, Finance or Audit preferable or equivalent CIPD / CIMA levels
- Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience of implementing Payroll solutions.
- Innovation Design & Implementation across multiple workstreams
- Project leadership experience with Agile project delivery
- Budget management across project delivery
- Attention to detail
- A self-motivated and driven individual
- Enquiring mind and able to keep focus and moving forward.
