Machine Operator Location: Sikeston, MO
Pay Range: $26.02 Per Hour - Paid Bi-Weekly
This position requires flexibility within shift patterns, particularly during the evening and overnight hours. Must be able to work any day of the week and be able to adapt to schedule changes to align with business needs.
Background & Purpose of the Job: This position efficiently operates assigned equipment to produce products at prescribed standards; minimize material waste and product loss. The position also oversees all aspects of line function. The range of Operator roles varies between categories and technologies, but generally sits within the Filling, Forklift and Material Transfer, Mixer, Packing, Reporting, Shaping and Water Machinery Job Families.

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe operation of production equipment to deliver customer requirements through completion of the production plan, adhering to quality standards and maximizing cost effectiveness, optimal running and equipment efficiency. She/he is expected to carry out cleaning and inspection activities and record any issues/problems with the equipment to pass to the Technical Operator to resolve.

What You'll Do:
Principal Accountabilities:
- Set up machine for production including assembling freezers and various parts of machine, assemble necessary ingredients, sanitize lines, and adjust machine to formula specifications.
- Comply with all GMP/quality issues including all charting procedures. Follow established procedures for monitoring product specifications such as bar weight, product size, machine output, speed, wrap, code dates, product quality etc. Keep areas clean and dry.
- Monitor equipment for malfunctions, solve minor problems without assistance and eliminate potential threats to production. Communicate effectively with Supervisors and maintenance personnel regarding recurring problems and needs for repair. Take part in PM's. Follow lubrication programs and maintain lube log.
- Oversee all operations at the workstation including responsibilities of the Wrapper Operators and Hand-packers. Work effectively with Wrapper operators and Handpackers to ensure smooth operation of line. Help work in tubs from freezer. Report any problems to Supervisors.
- Be involved with TPM and take part in the continuous improvement process.
- Function as needed in various capacities, including moving supplies and discard, filling in for Wrapper Operators and Handpackers as necessary and other duties as assigned.
Variable, consisting of the office environment, the mix room, and the manufacturing floor. Potential hazards include proximity of moving machinery, chemical exposure, or heavy lifting. The position may require an individual to stand, stoop, move equipment; bend, reach, or lift for prolonged periods of time. PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection and sanitary footwear.
In addition, there will be exposure to allergens such as dairy, eggs, tree nuts, coconut, peanuts, wheat (gluten), soybean and cinnamon. There will also be exposure to chemicals and gasses such as ammonia.

- Ability to learn all functions of the job within a reasonable amount of time.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions and to keep accurate written records.
- Ability to work various hours and shifts (i.e., 8-hour, 10hour, or 12-hour shifts) as needed.
- Able to work overtime when required.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds several times per hour.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through experience working on machinery on satisfactory completion of technical/shop courses.
