Vice-président - ingénierie logicielle / Vice President of Software Engineering - Workforce Management
The Vice President of Software Engineering will be a pivotal leader within the UKG Product & Technology group, reporting directly to the Engineering Leader overseeing UKG's market leading Workforce Management product suite. UKG is seeking an accomplished technologist with a proven track record in engineering leadership, particularly in SaaS enterprise solutions. This individual will play a critical role in driving innovation and excellence in our product offerings, ensuring that we deliver SaaS first, market-leading solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and influence the product direction and roadmap for Workforce Management solutions, ensuring alignment with UKG's overall business strategy.
• Drive deep service ownership within the engineering team through modern SaaS practices.
• Engineering and deploy innovative engineering solutions through collaboration with product management and other internal & external stakeholders.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders across different market verticals (including some of the biggest / marquis names in the industry) to drive continuous service improvements.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships across various departments, including engineering, product management, and customer service, to foster a collaborative environment that drives product success.
• Lead and mentor high-performing engineering teams across multiple geographies, promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from product definition through continuous deployment and ongoing support, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality offerings
• Uphold and promote UKG's core values and culture in all aspects of leadership, inspiring confidence and fostering a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 15 years in enterprise-level software development, with at least 10 years in leadership roles managing dynamic engineering teams.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, demonstrating high intellect, integrity, and positive energy.
• Extensive experience in software engineering, particularly with scalable products across various technologies, platforms, and languages.
• Strong understanding and experience with Agile software development practices and methodologies.
• Ability to attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and programming skills in complex technical environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
