Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Database Expertise:
Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, including advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and partitioning.
Proficiency with database technologies such as CloudSQL, AlloyDB, MSSQL, and MySQL.
Deep knowledge of database architecture, design patterns, and scalability best practices.
Programming and Scripting:
Advanced proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or gcloud CLI.
Strong experience in automation frameworks and tools for database operations.
Cloud and Tools:
Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) database services, including CloudSQL and AlloyDB.
Advanced knowledge of tools like Liquibase, pg_bouncer, and database connectors.
Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Database Operations:
Mastery in designing and managing complex DDL and DML operations, including stored procedures and triggers.
Extensive experience with database telemetry, observability, and performance monitoring tools.
Proven ability to develop and implement advanced disaster recovery and backup solutions.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Expertise in data masking, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
Leadership in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for database operations.
Strong understanding of security frameworks and advanced encryption techniques for databases.
