Principal Product Manager, UKG, Inc., Lowell, MA (Remote)

Responsible for analyzing the systems software application needs of our clients who are multinational companies with a focus on Human Resources software systems. The Product Manager will be responsible for driving the product strategy and product management of our UKG Pro suite for our multinational customers. You will leverage both software and business expertise to ensure that UKG's Global capabilities are market competitive and bring value to our customers. Duties will include:

  • Owning product strategy and roadmap execution of UKG Pro's global product offerings, with an emphasis on product features that promote world-class Global Human Resource Information System design and execution.
  • Leading the assessment of global features utilizing a structured process to prioritize global business needs.
  • Aligning vision, priorities and requirements across functions by partnering closely with cross-suite Product, Engineering, and Design teams.
  • Leveraging IT design tools such as Jira and AHA to translate Global Strategies into product-specific program goals and roadmaps.
  • Planning and facilitating business and technical requirements workshops.
  • Developing use cases, user stories, and other artifacts.
  • Establishing strong Agile IT development practices across product and engineering teams.
  • Monitoring software solutions offered by lead competitors and maintaining an understanding of key product capability gaps or trends.
  • Working with customers to gain insights and feedback to better understand and predict customers' evolving needs and expectations.
  • Working with cross-functional teams (including Product Development, Support, Services, Sales and Marketing) to ensure successful go-to-market delivery.
  • Remaining current on trends in Global business customer priorities, the key competitor landscape, and disruptive technologies, and bringing awareness of these changes and trends into the product plan cycle.
  • Define and implement metrics in order to understand how customers are using features and drive optimal customer experience.
  • Partnering closely with commercial organization to support product go-to-market activities, including pricing and packaging, launch, learning, and more.

This position does not manage people or have direct reports. This is an IT Project Manager role.

Requirements:

Position requires a Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Information Systems, Mathematics or a closely related field and 5 years of experience leading IT product development and launch teams. Must also have 5 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement) working with the following:

  • Agile development methodologies and tools - including Confluence, Jira, Slack - and working in an Agile/scrum environment;
  • End-to-end product development experience (taking product from strategy to launch) for global products;
  • Localizing global products or adapting global products for local use cases;
  • Building strong cross-functional partnerships at multiple levels within a company, including engineering, marketing, sales, support, and services; and
  • Working with SaaS products with a diverse customer base spanning small business owners, small and medium sized businesses, and enterprise.

This is a telecommuting position working from home. May reside anywhere in the United States.
