Responsibilities:
Assess business requirements, collect and identify technical specifications, and develop technology solutions for the BI space.
Develop technology specifications ensuring new solutions are designed for optimal access and usefulness, leveraging existing technologies when possible.
Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design solutions that meet operational requirements such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability.
Oversee day-to-day functioning of tracks, including task assignment, supporting Project Managers, highlighting risks/issues proactively, and collaborating with the team for mitigation.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Engineers, Administrators, Architects, and BI Developers for the successful development of Data and Analytics solutions.
Create, maintain, and review standards and templates pertaining to specific BI-related solutions.
Drive Data & Analytics solutions and develop technical designs that support business requirements and follow the enterprise architecture strategy.
Analyze various programs/projects to drive pipeline and customer engagement.
Identify opportunities to standardize and simplify solution architecture to reduce operational costs and increase efficiency.
Identify patterns, trends, and insights using appropriate tools.
Support proposed data initiatives arising from setups like Data Governance and Master Data Management.
Develop and maintain domain, product and process knowledge to directly influence engineering practices that improve product quality, software engineering productivity and development process maturity
Work with technical support, professional services and customers to help them understand UKG data products and how UKG practices ensure delivery of high quality solutions
Collaborate with engineering architects, product managers and engineering teams in implementing best practices in software testing and influencing 'building in' testability during all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Design, develop, review and approve test strategy for product headlines or features
Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
Coach and mentor team and provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
Keep current on new technologies and make recommendations on future directions for Quality Engineering as well as applying the latest techniques and industry information as appropriate
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years of Business Intelligence experience with multiple Visualization & Data Warehousing platforms such as SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Google BigQuery.
5+ years of experience in Star Schema data modeling and Data Warehousing concepts.
3+ years of experience in the Azure and/or GCP cloud environment.
Possess solid experience and knowledge of data architectures including data lake, star/snowflake schema, 3NF, non-relational, and associated methodologies.
Strong modeling experience, and ability to develop conceptual, logical and physical data models using standard tools
Experience in managing end-to-end execution of data and analytics deliverables from ingestion and transformation to the final semantic layer and visualizations.
Strong analytical skills and data warehousing concepts are required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Ability to work in an on-shore/off-shore environment under tight deadlines.
Exposure to Salesforce reporting is a plus.
Exposure to Azure and Google Cloud is a plus.
Experience with SOX and PCI compliance and their implications to data governance
