We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Payroll Compliance Advisor to join the Regulatory and Tax Research team and ensure our payroll software stays ahead of ever-evolving regulations in Canada. The Regulatory and Tax Research team is responsible for product compliance at UKG by monitoring, analyzing, and partnering with product development teams to provide functionality that meets ever-evolving regulatory requirements.
Duties and responsibilities: Your primary responsibility will be to research and interpret compliance requirements, translating them into actionable steps for our development teams. You'll be the link between the ever-changing regulatory landscape and our cutting-edge payroll products.
Additionally:
• Deep-dive into Canadian payroll tax updates and regulations
• Stay on top of the latest changes: Track daily updates on compliance mandates and identify any adjustments needed for necessary forms, tax calculations, and wage attachment regulations
• Bridge the gap: Analyze and summarize identified changes, creating comprehensive documentation for our product and development teams to incorporate into UKG's Canada payroll products
• Act as a trusted advisor and liaison, collaborating closely with the EPIC Product Team
• Share your knowledge: Train and educate stakeholders on the impact of regulatory changes
• Effectively communicate complex compliance requirements to both internal and external stakeholders,answering questions and providing timely, accurate information
Minimum required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Canadian payroll compliance or a similar role
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and research databases
Preferred Qualifications:
• Have experience working with Canadian government agencies to obtain specific payroll requirements
• Excel at juggling multiple tasks and managing deadlines
• Enjoy being the "go-to" person for all things compliance
• Stay enthusiastic about learning and keeping up with emerging trends in the payroll industry
• Have experience using UKG Pro Payroll
