About the Team:
As a Lead Security Researcher, you will be part of UKG's Security Innovation team. This global team is responsible for working across UKG security functions to identify gaps and use cutting edge techniques such as AI automation to enhance protections in each area. We're on a mission to be pioneers in the HCM space. We will publish some of this work externally to give our customers a look into the innovations we bring to their solutions everyday. Curating a world renowned security culture is just the beginning. Leveraging your adversarial mindset, mixed with your hands-on automation and security engineering experience, we'll work together to ensure that UKG is the HCM security leader.
About the Role:
- You will be providing hands-on solutions for security functions as gaps are identified, and/or other stakeholder requirements toward defense strategies surface
- You will support leading production level projects to completion as a contributor and a collaborator between multiple stakeholder teams including the AppSec functions, Red Team, IAM, Security Operations Center (SOC), vulnerability management, Threat Intelligence, GRC, Incident Response, Disaster Recovery, and product development.
- You will be working on a globally distributed team and expected to create and present strategies, technical plans, and architecture to audiences of technical and executive leadership levels when asked.
- You will support the Head of Security Innovations by enhancing the strategic capabilities of the program through complex technical initiatives as we leverage cutting edge tools to extend security functions.
About You:
Basic Qualifications:
- The ability to lead complex projects, other team members, and support building strategic and technical initiatives
- 4 years of hands-on security engineering, vulnerability analysis, AppSec, pentesting/red teaming, networking, operating systems, SAAS, and Cloud security experience
- Experience using AI and automation to enhance security efforts
- Experience presenting security topics at external and internal security conferences/trainings
- Demonstrable hands-on skills in a programming language for use in security testing, analysis, operations, and/or threat detection
- Experience finding and analyzing OWASP top ten vulnerabilities in various environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a major public cloud service provider (CSP)
- B.S. in related technical degree or similar qualifications
- Bug bounty or other differentiated skill sets and experiences

The pay range for this position is $126,300.00 - 181,550.00, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
