This role requires strong collaboration cross-functionally with business stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Relationship Management, Finance, Services, HR and Legal), Solution Managers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers and other team members to drive impactful results and accelerate our company's growth. The right individual will put our customers first, elevate their peers, be curious, open-minded, resourceful, collaborative, proactive, a critical analytical thinker, and be relentless in pursuit of desired outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Understanding: Deeply understand our business, systems, and data to develop solutions that solve complex business problems, meet stakeholder needs and accelerate their path to value.
  • Stakeholder Relationships and Management: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to understand their business objectives and pain points fostering collaborative partnerships across the business. Provide clear communication to team members and business stakeholders related to requirements, issues, and solution delivery. Own and lead UAT sessions as well as business demos of new features and stories.
  • Solution Development: Own the end-to-end technical design and development of scalable, reliable, and maintainable data & analytic solutions such as reports, metrics, scorecards, dashboards, KPIs, and self-service datasets that are widely adopted and drive action across the business.
  • User Story Development: Transform business requirements into detailed functional requirements and document user stories following best practices. This includes writing clear acceptance criteria and definition of done for each story. • Agile Practices: Work collaboratively as part of a scrum team and use Agile methodology to build and deliver solutions, ensuring efficient and effective development cycles.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Architects, Technical Project Managers, Enablement, and other Solution Engineers to execute various strategic programs.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior solution engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth mindset. Provide input to business stakeholders on potential improvements to help transform UKG's business operations.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Lead efforts to document features, enhancements, and fixes thoroughly, contributing to training materials and knowledge transfer across teams. Promote proper interpretation of data and analytics results to educate and support self-service business intelligence.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Build testable analytic solutions, oversee the definition and execution of test cases, provide solution demonstrations, and lead user testing sessions and black box testing, when applicable, that result in user acceptance as well as black box testing.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify strategic opportunities and communicate recommendations to senior leaders that can improve feature adoption, increase revenue, decrease costs, and/or mitigate risks across the business.
  • Innovation: Be a thought leader and stay current with emerging technologies (ex. Generative AI) and industry trends, championing their adoption to drive innovation and productivity enhancements within Digital and across the business.
  • Success Metrics: Lead the creation of success metrics and measurement processes to track benefits on project work.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of data analytics work experience.
  • Strong business acumen with 5+ years of business experience in a large corporate environment.
  • Experience leading teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced SQL skills with 3+ years of experience in SQL and Relational Database systems; ability to write queries against large data warehouses (such as Google BigQuery, Microsoft Azure, Oracle) and understand efficient aggregation and display principles.
  • BI Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) with 3+ years of report building and analysis.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; process-oriented and metrics-driven.
  • Data Visualization: Advanced knowledge of data visualization techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business Analysis: Extensive experience in business analysis, including leading complex business requirements gathering and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with Cloud technologies (Azure and Google Cloud).
  • Enterprise Applications: Strong understanding of various enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS) and the ability to leverage these systems effectively to deliver robust data solutions.
  • Data Product Development: Proven expertise in developing data products for cross-functional teams to self-serve insights.
  • Software Development: Familiarity with software development practices, including code reviews, testing, and DevOps.

The pay range for this position is $99,800 to $143,450, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
