The UKG Community & Content Solutions team supports over 250,000 customers, partners, and employees to create, find, use, and share learning content that drives the successful adoption and use of UKG products. We are seeking a Knowledge Engineer with expertise in structured content management, enterprise knowledge management, and AI-driven search optimization. This role will focus on supporting users of content systems, including Heretto Component Content Management System (CCMS), Ingeniux Web Content Management System (WCMS), Salesforce Knowledge, and Coveo Enterprise Search to improve content creation and retrieval.

Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge Engineering & Content Structuring
• Develop metadata schemas, taxonomies, and ontologies to enhance search across our content systems.
• Implement structured content models and modular authoring strategies to enable dynamic content retrieval and content delivery.
• Identify and promote best practices for single-source publishing, structured content reuse, and content interoperability across our content systems.
• Optimize content governance frameworks, including version control, content classification, automated tagging, and lifecycle management.
AI-Powered Search & Intelligent Content Retrieval
• Work closely with content teams to optimize content structure to maximize the accuracy of Coveo Relevance Generative Answering (CRGA) across all search hubs.
• Analyze search behavior and query performance to optimize content retrieval and improve search accuracy.
Support, Training, & Governance
• Monitor and provide user support via support channels like Microsoft Teams (Heretto and Ingeniux Help) and Service Now for system maintenance requests.
• Maintain technical documentation for supported systems, content workflows, and AI-powered content retrieval frameworks.
• Develop training programs for users on best practices for managing structured content, metadata, and AI search.
• Act as an internal consultant, providing recommendations on structured content improvements, workflow automation, and AI search tuning.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, security policies, and enterprise content governance protocols.
Data & Analytics for Content Optimization
• Develop frameworks for measuring content effectiveness, search relevance, and user engagement with content.
• Utilize analytics tools to measure content effectiveness and engagement.
System Integration
• Support API-driven integrations between content systems and other enterprise platforms to ensure seamless content sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical & Content Management Expertise
• Experience with Knowledgebases, CCMS, WCMS, and AI content retrieval in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of structured content models, DITA/XML-based authoring and metadata management.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Generative AI experience using Google Vertex, Microsoft CoPilot, or similar LLM's.
Soft Skills & Collaboration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize structured content and search workflows.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex concepts for business stakeholders.
• Cross-functional collaboration with UX, IT, and business teams to ensure alignment of strategies.
Preferred Experience & Certifications:
• 5+ years in structured content management and/or knowledge management.
• Salesforce Knowledge, Heretto, Ingeniux, and Coveo in an enterprise environment.
• Generative AI using API integrations with content and knowledge systems.
• Python, and .NET and/or OOP.
• PowerBI and/or Power Automate.
• Certifications in Salesforce, Scrum (CSM, CSPO), Knowledge Management (KCS).

The pay range for this position is $62,300 to $89,550, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
