UKG is looking for an innovative Director of Cloud Engineering & Infrastructure with experience working in large-scale cloud environments. The UKG Cloud team is a global team that leverages technology and right-sized processes to deliver world-class solutions. You will lead a cloud team focused on helping mature a cloud platform, evaluating cloud-native technologies, and delivering core capabilities to help scale the business. The focus of the cloud organization is to enable the business to deliver value at a rapid pace by providing building blocks to ensure UKG has a consistent approach to delivery and security in a cloud environment. You'll need to have strong experience in Public Cloud Technologies and a lean approach to delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
• Collaborate closely with engineering professionals within the organization to streamline delivery to the cloud.
• Help eliminate all manual intervention associated with the delivery of value with a focus on velocity.
• Mentor and train engineers throughout the organization and seek to continually improve cloud delivery practices companywide.
• Lead a engineering team focused on leveraging cloud-native solutions to solve business problems.
• Understand business priorities and identify technical initiatives that help achieve desired outcomes.
• Be a strong advocate of the Continuous Delivery culture.
• Provide programmatic building blocks to enable product engineering teams to solution business value at a rapid pace.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cloud infrastructure strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
• Assist in the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure.
• Aid in optimizing the cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain robust security measures across the cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
• Enable the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Stay current with emerging cloud infrastructure technologies and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
• 8 years+ development/engineering experience.
• 6 years+ experience managing large scale teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes at various levels of the organization.
• Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications.
• Strong experience delivering and managing solutions in a public cloud environment.
• Experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Windows-based infrastructure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong experience with databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of development languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Groovy, Bash.
• Experience with Agile Delivery, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, etc.
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure technologies, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud infrastructure.

The pay range for this position is $159,900 to $229,800, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
