About the Role:

The head of CEO Communications will play an important role in leading all aspects of CEO communications for UKG. He/she will create and amplify the CEO's voice in alignment with our goals and objectives, putting the customer at the center of everything that we do, and ensuring impactful messaging across all internal and external communication channels. As the CEO's communications partner, this role will help manage internal and external communications -including social media - to drive thought leadership, visibility, and outcome-driven results.

This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional writing and communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives across various mediums that align with the company's strategic priorities.

About the Team:

Day-to-day, this position will work closely with the chief communications officer, senior director of public relations, chief marketing officer, and the internal communications team, to create differentiated storytelling that resonates with key stakeholders including employees, customers, media, industry analysts and strategic partners. In addition, this position will work across each of the company's key business areas, Engineering and Product, Sales, and Customer Experience to help capture a comprehensive narrative of the different ways in which UKG and its products serve our thousands of customers and their employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the internal and external communications strategy and plan for the CEO.
  • Lead all aspects of content for CEO employee communications, including town hall meetings, written content, and other channels used for engaging with UKG employees.
  • Create and drive an executive media program in coordination with the Senior Director of public relations and CCO
  • Lead social media strategy for the CEO, including identifying and creating a robust and consistent social media program to drive engagement across priority audiences and topics.
  • Write speeches and talking points for both external and internal events.
  • Elevate CEO's profile on key topics aligned with UKG's goals, with a particular focus on customers, through a mix of strategic media placements, speaking engagements and sponsored events in concert with marketing.

About You:

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 8 - 12 years of communications experience ideally in the software industry.
  • Experience writing communications, speeches and other content for CEO/executive c-suite.
  • A great writer, with experience spanning speech writing, messaging and talking points.
  • Experience in managing a senior executive's social media strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Someone who can effectively solve problems by understanding industry issues, current events, and business trends.
  • A well-established external media network is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $159,000 to $225,000, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
