About The Team:

As a Business Data Analyst for Data & Analytics, you'll continue developing your business acumen, analytical skills, and technical expertise to contribute more significantly to the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-wide data solutions and insights that enable exceptional customer experience, exceptional employee experience, and continued profitable growth.

About The Role:

As a Business Data Analyst for Data & Analytics, you will be accountable for contributing to the design and delivery of data solutions, ensuring their quality, reliability, and performance. This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Relationship Management, Finance, Services, HR, and Legal), Solution Managers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and other team members to drive impactful results and accelerate our company's growth. The right individual will be curious, open-minded, resourceful, collaborative, proactive, and committed to contributing to team success.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Understanding: Develop a deeper understanding of our business, systems, and data to contribute to solutions that address more complex business problems and meet stakeholder needs.
  • Stakeholder Relationships and Management: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their business objectives and support the delivery of solutions.
  • Solution Development: Contribute to the technical design and development of scalable, reliable, and maintainable data & analytics solutions such as reports, metrics, dashboards, and self-service datasets.
  • User Story Development: Transform business requirements into functional requirements and document user stories following best practices. This includes writing clear acceptance criteria and definition of done for each story.
  • Agile Practices: Work collaboratively as part of a scrum team, applying Agile methodology to build and deliver solutions efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and other Solution Engineers to execute various strategic programs.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document features, enhancements, and fixes thoroughly, contributing to training materials and knowledge transfer across teams.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Build testable analytic solutions, define and execute test cases, and assist in leading user testing sessions and black box testing that result in user acceptance.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify opportunities and communicate recommendations to improve feature adoption, increase revenue, decrease costs, and/or mitigate risks across the business.
  • Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate to drive innovation within the team.
  • Success Metrics: Create success metrics and establish measurement processes to track benefits on project work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-4 years of data analytics work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL with experience in BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
  • Analytical Skills: Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a team environment, demonstrating collaboration and initiative.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and open to learning new tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and how data solutions can drive business outcomes.
  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Enterprise Applications: Understanding of various enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS) and the ability to leverage these systems effectively to deliver robust data solutions.
  • Data Product Development: Experience in contributing to the development of data products for business stakeholders.
  • Software Development: Familiarity with software development practices, including code reviews

The pay range for this position is $70,100 to $131,500 USD, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
