About this role
We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in marketing analytics to join our team. In this role, you will partner closely with the Marketing team to improve ROI of our marketing initiatives utilizing your expertise in statistical modeling, experimentation, and data visualization techniques to uncover actionable insights from complex datasets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering impactful analytics projects in a marketing or consumer-focused environment.
What you'll be doing
- Partner with marketing stakeholders to shape our marketing strategy and tactics by defining clear problem statements, utilizing predictive modeling to identify target audiences, assessing growth opportunities, and recommending effective testing and measurement framework
- Conduct in-depth analysis of marketing performance metrics, customer behavior, and market trends to assess marketing channel health, identify optimization opportunities and improve ROI.
- Understand our customer lifecycle states and develop segmentation using advanced analytical techniques to help shape lifecycle marketing initiatives
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate insights and KPIs to stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Be a primary analytics driver for developing our business data layer in collaboration with Analytics Engineering and Data teams.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and marketing analytics, and apply them to enhance our analytical capabilities.
What you’ll have- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related quantitative field.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in data science, with a proven track record of applying advanced predictive modeling techniques to drive business impact.
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling, with expertise in media mix modeling, causal inference methods, forecasting, regression, and time series modeling preferred.
- Experience with data pipelining tools such as DBT and Airflow, and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Command over at least one programming language, such as Python, for data analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, with a strong understanding of best practices for dashboarding and visualization.
- Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
