About the Role

As Uber continues to grow, our global tax compliance team also continues to expand to meet new business challenges and the demands of stakeholders. We are building a US Tax Compliance team in India. We are looking to add a motivated and knowledgeable Tax Analyst with a can-do attitude to our team based in Bangalore.

The US Tax Analyst will work closely with the US Tax Compliance team and other cross functional teams. The role will report to the Tax Manager and work closely with other SMEs (Subject Matter Expert) members.

Be responsible for the US International Tax compliance and work on various assigned projects to aim at automating processes and creating best practices on an international level.

What You'll Do
  1. Prepare and Review forms such as Form 5471, Form 8858, Form 8865, Form 8990, Form 8991, Form 8992, Form 8993 and workpapers relating to US International tax compliance in Onesource Income Tax tool (including all required schedules and workpapers).
  2. Importing data into OIT, Importing TB and other OIT related work for International.
  3. Collaborate with various cross functional teams to gather data and complete required tasks.
  4. Prepare the Disclosures and statements relating to Significant transactions and Recurring transaction related forms.
  5. Ability to handle large workpapers, large volume of data and Tax returns.
  6. Assist with preparation of E&P Adjustments, posting adjustments in OIT and preparation of forms.
  7. Assist with preparation of GILTI workpapers and other workpapers relating to foreign forms.
  8. Prepare the US CbCR report and workpaper.
  9. Work on the process of CTB elections for entities.
  10. Assist in preparation of Tax Org Chart.
  11. Assist with other compliance related tasks for US and Non-U.S. activities and calculations as required.
  12. Coordinate with service providers for information request and provide workpapers timely
  13. Ability to perform Tax research on Tax laws and regulations.

What You'll Need
  1. Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance.
  2. 4 - 5 years of US International experience
  3. Working knowledge of Onesource Income Tax software is a must (TAS and Organizer both)
  4. CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred.
  5. Previous Big 4 experience and industry experience preferred.
  6. Excellent Project Management skills required.
  7. Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to demonstrate to develop innovative and creative solutions to complex tax issues. Contribute to process and technology improvements aimed at automation opportunities.
  8. Ability to interact with all departments and levels throughout our organization.
  9. A self-starter with the ability to prioritize and multitask with excellent project and time management skills. Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  10. Experience with Oracle R12 or another large scale ERP is preferred.
  11. Experience in using automation tools e.g., Tableau, Alteryx (preferred not a must).
  12. Meticulous and detail oriented without losing the big picture.
  13. Process oriented and an advocate of standardization of finance/compliance function.
  14. Work independently on complex tax concepts, calculations and large amounts of data.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred.
  2. Previous Big 4 experience and industry experience preferred.
  3. Excellent Project Management skills required.
  4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to demonstrate to develop innovative and creative solutions to complex tax issues. Contribute to process and technology improvements aimed at automation opportunities.
