About the Role

The APAC Uber Eats Commercial Operations team is looking for a Commercial Operations Leader to run the Japan Sales Operations team.

The role of the Commercial Operations Lead is to support the Japan Commercial team (covering both acquisition sales and account management) with Go-to-Market Strategy, Planning, Operations, Quota setting/Compensation, Insights & Analytics, and Enablement.

You will be partnering with Sales Leadership to inform organizational decisions using data, sales reporting and analytics for the market, and work closely with other APAC and Global Sales Operations teammates to improve sales and customer-facing processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, empathetic, and highly autonomous. This role is critical to the next wave of growth of our sales and restaurants organization in Japan.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points
  1. Partner with Japan leadership, regional Commercial Operations team (Commercial Ops Lead from other markets, Sales Compensation, Sales Systems, Data Analytics, Sales Enablement, Compliance), and Japan cross-functional members (Strategic & Planning, Operations, Strategic Finance, etc.) to establish a top-tier sales organization.
  2. Lead the Japan Commercial Operations team. Coach team members to deliver business impact, and to develop the career in a dynamic working environment.
  3. Own the processes of sales target setting and recommend sales quota, in alignment with the organization's strategies.
  4. Establish clear frameworks and structured processes to evaluate the effectiveness of the sales incentive plan and recommend adjustments where necessary.
  5. Own Japan sales performance reporting and drive business reviews to facilitate data consistency and accuracy.
  6. Implement the deal review framework and ensure pricing compliance, to guardrail profits while growing business.
  7. Govern sales end-to-end processes from engagement to sales credit recognition meet compliance requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in Sales Operations, Strategy & Planning, Consulting, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of day-to-day sales processes.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Japanese (Native) preferred and English (Business) essential

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sales org and quota design highly preferable.
  • Strong modeling and sales forecasting skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly with senior leadership.
  • You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to switch from high-level program strategy to rolling up your sleeves to implementation
