About the Role

We are looking for a strategic leader to drive strategy and planning for Uber Eats in Canada. Functions within your team's responsibility include strategic planning, competitive analysis and strategy, geographic strategy, investment management, commercial deal pricing, and strategic initiatives. In this role, you will play a major role in setting the short-, medium-, and long-term priorities for the entire Uber Eats Canada business and putting in place the structure and processes to ensure progress against these priorities. You will also be collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders covering Operations, Sales and Account Management, Marketing, Public Affairs, and Legal.

  • Partner with senior leadership on the short, medium, and long-term strategy for Uber Eats in Canada
  • Develop competitive strategy for Uber Eats Canada and work cross-functionally to execute
  • Assume a leadership role working with internal stakeholders at Uber, and effectively partner and collaborate with other divisions in the organization both locally and across the globe
  • Lead a fast-paced, dynamic team of talented Operations Managers enabling them to achieve ambitious targets for their respective OKRs and grow professionally
  • Collaborate with a highly cross-functional stakeholder group including Sales, Account Management, Operations, Finance, Public Affairs, Marketing, and Legal and Central Operations teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, analytics, tech, finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years in a people management position with strong leadership skills and experience coaching and mentoring a diverse team.
  • Bachelors deegre

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, analytics, tech, finance, or a related field at a managerial level.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on strategy in tech / consumer organizations
  • Experience setting strategic direction for a large organization and working with complex stakeholder groups on executional plans
  • Financial acumen - understand the importance of investments and returns and work tirelessly to improve those returns
  • Nimble and Fast - able to balance priorities and move quickly in a rapidly changing environment with tight deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit - willingness to challenge the status quo and move quickly to test and learn new strategies and tactics.
  • An ability to build deep relationships across a broad organization, cultivate a fun and collaborative work environment, and identify problems from different perspectives. Humility and empathy are essential to success in this role.
  • High standards and a bias toward action. You can find the context and information you need through relationships across the organization, you push for clarity and delivery, and you hold a high bar from your contributions and those of the people you work with

For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$140,000 per year - CAD$155,500 per year.
