About the Role
As the Strategy & Planning Lead in the SSA Delivery team at Uber, you will be at the forefront of supporting our SSA Delivery leadership team working to provide strategic leadership, coordinate governance, support large-scale, cross-functional programs, support the innovation of business ideas, and solving complex problems to drive long-term business success. This role demands a strong strategic vision, exceptional stakeholder management, and the ability to lead and drive high-impact programs that will shape the future of Uber Eats.
What You Will Do
- Strategic Leadership: Serve as a strategic advisor to the SSA Delivery leadership team on high-priority initiatives, taking ownership of complex problem statements, influencing key stakeholders, and driving strategic decisions at the highest organizational levels.
- Innovative Problem Solving: Apply advanced structured problem-solving techniques to address novel and ambiguous challenges, creating innovative solutions without a predefined playbook.
- Zero to One Initiatives: Take top-of-mind strategic initiatives from zero to one, supporting to build them from the ground up and guiding them through to successful implementation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local, regional, and global teams (Operations, Product, Legal, Policy, Finance, Tax, etc.) to design and execute cross-functional programs aimed at achieving critical business outcomes.
- Program Ownership: Lead and own strategic programs and projects, ensuring robust follow-ups and accountability throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion.
- Synthesis and Recommendation: Integrate various inputs (quantitative analysis, policy proposals, legal considerations, product briefs) to develop strategic recommendations and drive alignment across the organization.
- Stakeholder Influence and Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, effectively influencing and managing their expectations to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives.
- Performance Optimization: Utilize data-driven deep-dives, metrics, and dashboards to understand and optimize performance, driving actionable insights and continuous improvement.
- Market and Industry Analysis: Conduct in-depth market and industry research to understand macroeconomic trends, industry dynamics, and competitive landscapes, providing strategic insights based on data and facts.

What You Will Need
- 4+ years experience in strategy, operations, or consultancy, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, high-impact initiatives.
- Advanced Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex issues and develop practical, scalable solutions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities to convey complex ideas clearly and compellingly.
- Stakeholder Influence: Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior leaders, influencing and driving decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
- Business and Financial Acumen: High degree of business and financial acumen, with a strong analytical skill set to solve problems using data.
- Industry Knowledge: Genuine interest and deep understanding of the online food delivery industry and Uber's business strategy.
- Project Management Expertise: Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to managing complex projects, ensuring successful completion and impactful outcomes.
- Collaboration Skills: Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse and cross-functional business leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Data Analytics Skills, including proficiency in SQL.
- MBA or Advanced Degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in online food delivery or adjacent industries including logistics, Q-commerce or Application Software.
