About the Team
The Consumer Growth team is responsible a number of key business areas including growing usage of Uber for key occasions like airports and travel, launching, experimenting and growing new products plus optimising existing products like our premium portfolio and targeting key customer segments to tap into new pools of growth. We continually look for new and innovative solutions; whether it be launching a new low cost offering, launching a new airport partnership, delivering a solution aimed at business travelers, you will need to take your products from 0 to 1, then 1 to 100.
About the Role
As Strategy and Operations Manager, you will employ quantitative and qualitative research methodology to identify customer needs and use cases before developing solutions to help keep Aussies and Kiwis moving into the future. You will communicate your insights to our business leaders, partner with multiple business and deliver changes for immediate business impact. You will have end-to-end responsibility for the development, management and execution of your projects. Your work will have a real-world impact, instantly changing the way that people get around cities.

The Impact You'll Have
- Own and be accountable for multiple products going forward, including ongoing improvement of the customer experience and direct P&L accountability through regular monitoring and reporting
- Partner with our global product and operations teams to develop solutions to meet identified needs, use cases and prepare and execute go-to-market strategies for these products/features
- Develop the experimentation and go to market plan for new launches/ roll-outs, promotional campaigns or continuous improvement of our product offerings
- Work with cross-functional partners,global teams and external stakeholders to project manage the execution of ANZ business priorities
- Manage and grow existing products
- Deeply understand a key segment of customers that could be Uber's next key vertical
The Experience You'll Bring
- Education: University degree in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business/Commerce, Social Science, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience: 3 years of proven experience applying analytics to tackle business problems (for example, in consulting, investment banking
- Business acumen: you have demonstrated knowledge of industry trends, competition, best practices, and other factors that affect profitability and business success
- Problem solving: you are naturally curious and are motivated by solving problems, however complicated or ambiguous they may be. You have the ability to break down ambiguous problems by applying structure and using data-driven insights
- Analytical skills: you can develop meaningful insights from complex data. You have experience with data analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization tools. You are highly proficient in Excel/Sheets
- Collaboration and stakeholder management: you work well with other people and can handle engagement with multiple partners from different teams, locally and internationally. External engagement experience is a plus.
- Initiative and ownership: you manage and deliver end-to-end projects with autonomy in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines, and you have demonstrated ability to coordinate, plan and prioritise tasks across multiple projects
- Communication skills: you can effectively communicate complicated insights and arguments both verbally and in writing

- Experience with SQL, Tableau, Python or similar is a plus!
