About the Role
The Payments Experience team at Uber is on a mission to make paying and getting paid seamless for users across our diverse lines of business, including Mobility, Delivery, Uber for Business (U4B), and Freight. As a Staff TPM, you will play a pivotal role in leading cross-functional initiatives that enhance our payments systems, enabling secure, efficient, and user-friendly transactions. What you will do
- Drive end-to-end delivery of large-scale, complex technical programs within the Payments domain.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Business teams to develop user friendly, compliant and innovative solutions tailored to Uber's needs.
- Define project scope, establish priorities, and align teams to achieve shared goals.
- Proactively identify and resolve roadblocks, ensuring smooth program execution.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, bridging technical and business requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and improve program management practices to deliver scalable, high-quality results.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or Engineering Manager in software or systems development.
- Proven success in managing end-to-end delivery of technical programs in the payments or financial technology domain.
- Strong technical acumen, with experience in distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and drive alignment.
- Mastery of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive expertise in payment systems, digital wallets, checkout flows, payment processing, and financial services, with a demonstrated ability to optimize and innovate across these domains.
- Experience developing and tracking program KPIs to measure success and drive improvements.
- Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cross-functional strategic planning, including resource allocation and risk assessment.
