We are seeking an outstanding individual to join our Global Membership Program as the Sr Strategy & Planning Manager for Global Membership. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day work of a large portion of the Strategy and Planning function on Global Membership. This individual will contribute to Membership Strategy, lead MPF Monetization Strategy, uplevel business insights & analytics, be responsible for business planning and assist in building strategic priorities for Membership. This role will be a deeply cross-functional individual contributor role, offering a unique opportunity to work on Rides, Eats and Grocery & Retail through the lens of a subscription business.
The right candidate is a strategic problem solver, deeply analytical, and strong at stakeholder engagement. They will have a point of view on how we improve Membership, will successfully communicate their vision, and will be able to work cross-functionally to achieve desired outcomes.

What You'll Do-
Strategy & Analytics:
- Help define our strategy for Membership over the short- and long-run
- Put together a framework for how Membership fits into our broader Delivery and Mobility strategies
- Refine thinking and strategy around Membership Tiering and ways to further make our offering valuable to our most valuable customer segments
- Conduct rigorous quantitative analyses to determine where Membership is performing well, and what the gaps are, incl. build dashboards to monitor ongoing performance
MPF Monetization:
- Develop a robust monitoring and reporting infrastructure for MPF Monetization
- Establish global quarterly MPF targets and translate them into specific regional goals, collaborating with country teams to inform the commercial pipeline
- Hold country teams accountable for meeting their respective targets
- Work closely with Commercial teams to craft playbooks on MPF Monetization and position it in relation to other strategic levers
Competition:
- Benchmark Uber One against competitor membership programs by analyzing pricing, benefits, user value, and subsidies.
- Develop a framework by market to identify areas of strength and opportunity relative to competitors.
- Draft competitive strategy responses based on insights gained from benchmark analysis
Governance:
- In partnership with the broader S&P team, coordinate and prepare Monthly Business Reviews, Board Meetings and/or Forecast & Planning materials
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, analytics, tech, finance, or a related field
- SQL proficiency and experience with involved data analytics

- Financial acumen - understands the importance of investments and different means of measuring return
- High standards and a bias toward action. You can find the context and information you need through relationships across the organization, you push for clarity and delivery, and you hold a high bar from your contributions and those of the people you work with
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience with membership programs or in a competitive analysis role.
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$112,000 per year - USD$124,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
