What You'll Do
- Consulting and Advisory: Provide expert consultation to external insurance partners on the best practices for commercial auto claims handling with a focus on bodily injury claims.
- Data Analysis and Recommendations: Use data analytics to identify trends, inform recommendations and implement solutions that improve claims outcomes.
- Strategic Planning: Design and execute strategic plans to enhance claims operations, utilizing data-driven insights and claims management behavioral expertise.
- Complex Issue Resolution: Advise on the resolution of complex claims issues and litigation management, helping stakeholders navigate and mitigate risks.
- File Audits and Reviews: Conduct external quality audits and targeted claims file reviews to assess handling quality and provide feedback and strategies to carrier partners.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external insurance partner stakeholders to understand Uber needs, tailor solutions, and collaborate with internal stakeholders including Legal, FNOL, Risk and Safety teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial auto or general liability claims handling with experience handling bodily injury claims.
- Proven experience in managing litigation related to commercial auto claims, along with expertise in overseeing claims processes
- A minimum of 3 years of frontline leadership experience in bodily injury claims for a commercial auto or general liability claims team.
- Bachelor's degree

- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability in the successful design and implementation of actionable insights using data and claims management behavioral expertise.
- 3 years of experience as a people leader on an insurance claims team
- Experience handling high policy limits and complex coverage issues
- Ability to maintain quality in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- High degree of adaptability to meet changing business needs
- Ability to serve as an insurance and claims subject matter expert
- Insurance designation(s) (AIC, ARM, SCLA, CPCU)
- Extraordinary attention to detail
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.
For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$117,000 per year - USD$129,500 per year.
