About the Role
We are looking for a Sr Accountant on the Global Intercompany Team, to be part of the team that is essential to the company's month-end close process and SOX Compliance. In this exciting role, you will improve the efficiency of close processes through automation and outsourcing as well as work cross-functionally with Finance Engineering to develop and improve Uber's internal systems. We expect this individual to act as a cross-functional business partner in the onshoring and structuring of new legal entities. This role requires an analytical mentality and a shown understanding of inter-company accounting and multiple entity structuring.

The Impact You'll Have
- Prepare, document, and support intercompany journal entries for month-end close
- Perform reconciliation of intercompany accounts and own process to settle intercompany balances
- Set up transfer pricing calculations in iCAN (Intercompany Accounting and Netting in-house tool)
- Provide support for business onshoring and new product launches
- Assist in UAT on system enhancement and implementation of accounting in-house tools
- Perform analysis on the effects of foreign exchange on the P&L and balance sheet
- Perform ad-hoc accounting analyses and tasks
The Experience You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with accounting systems (SAP, Oracle preferred)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship-building skills
- Possess the ability to distill complex and nuanced problems into simple, logical frameworks with concrete action plans
- Great teammate, and self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years working in intercompany accounting or as an international accountant
- Experience with international transfer pricing calculations
