About the Role
Uber Direct is changing the way delivery is done around the world by allowing brands to leverage Uber's fleet of couriers of couriers to offer same day delivery to their customers through their existing websites or apps. We have developed Partnerships with Merchants across a variety of verticals including Restaurants, Grocery, Convenience, Retail and more. All this to say, we are seeking a Specialist Account Executive to help further the growth of our business!
You will serve as a trusted partner to our restaurant merchants, understanding their needs and unlocking opportunities for them to grow their business through the power of our platform. You will manage deals end to end from discovery to pitch, pricing, negotiation, and close. You will work collaboratively with operations, product, account management and other technical counterparts.

At its core, we are seeking an individual who brings a Go Get It attitude to sales opportunities and exhibits the ability to collaborate with key account owners to drive progress with Uber Direct. You will be assigned to partner with one of our Territory Teams to lead opportunities for new business acquisition and existing business expansion.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with Territory Account Managers and Account Executives to develop a pipeline of top merchants, build relationships with decision makers, and negotiate Uber Direct partnerships
- Engage with your Territory and Operations teams to enable Territory sellers and Account Managers to identify, pitch, and negotiate Direct opportunities. The goal will be for you to manage complex and high volume opportunities end to end and for Territory sellers and Account Managers to establish success closing opportunities without your intervention.
- Identify prospective merchant business requirements and develop and pitch competitive proposals (i.e. pricing, decks, RFPs etc.). Manage contract negotiation to establish the foundation of a strong working relationship with our restaurant partners, including sustainable economics for both parties.
- Act as the partner's point of contact to understand their Uber Direct pain points, product features, inquiries, resolve conflicts, and provide solutions in a timely manner
- Proactively maintain communication channels with prospects via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings
- Understand business trends and gain expertise in the Online Food Delivery vertical and your territory
- Travel up to 20% per quarter surrounding conferences, pitches, and business reviews as needed
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in sales, account management, or business development
- Speed, resourcefulness, and a go-getter mentality. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and navigating ambiguity
- Ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers
- Effective written and verbal communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into or partnering with multi-unit brands and organizations
- Experience with food delivery and/or third-party marketplaces at a high-growth tech company
- Experience leading conversations with executive level external partners
- Ability to flex your analytical skills and use data to quantify opportunities and influence decision makers
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
