About the Role
Uber Eats is looking to hire a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager in the United Kingdom & Ireland Courier Operations team. Couriers are important partners for the Uber Eats platform and the team places all aspects of their experience at the core of its activities. The successful candidate will have a direct role in ensuring the long-term success of one of Uber's largest markets by ensuring we continue to actively understand and proactively engage couriers on their experience of the platform.
The role will involve setting out and executing an engagement strategy for how Uber Eats interacts externally with couriers whether via the app or leveraging other vehicles including roundtables, listening sessions, surveys, and the Uber Eats Pro programme. There will be close working with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders, including product teams, community operations, policy, communications, and legal (at a regional and global level).

We are looking for an individual who is experienced in vision-setting, operational delivery, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will need to understand the courier experience, both qualitatively and quantitatively, set out primary objectives and outcomes for what the courier engagement programme needs to deliver, and ensure that key partners and stakeholders are aligned to and supporting throughout.
What you'll do
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify gaps and opportunities, build strategies, and inform decision making.
- Develop strategic direction and objectives by working closely with cross-functional stakeholders (policy, communications, legal, marketing). Obtain their expert advice, thoroughly challenge the prevailing thought, and influence key decision-makers in the organisation.
- Deliver on a programme of courier engagement workstreams that will involve working across multiple product and operations teams as well as external partners.
What you'll need
- Bachelor or advanced degree in business studies, marketing, commerce, engineering, mathematics, politics, physics, philosophy, economics, econometrics or equivalent
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience within a similar position, having managed stakeholders, commercial relationships, large projects, and demonstrated an ability to adapt to a fast-moving working environment.
- Experience working with external partners and planning external events
- Experience working with product teams
