The Marketplace team is the custodian of marketplace health for the whole ANZ region, responsible for driver and rider pricing as well as day-to-day operations. We provide strategic inputs into budget forecasting, planning cycles and our job is to ensure we run a healthy marketplace for both our drivers and riders.
About The Role
We are seeking a sharp, analytical and experienced professional to join this team. As a Senior Strategy and Operations Manager, you will lead marketplace health for the region and independently own key decisions around day-to-day operations, pricing and budgeting. You will design, execute and refine strategies that drive sustainable growth whilst working with cross-functional teams to design Uber's long term growth strategy and solve critical supply and demand issues of our marketplace.

You will analyse complex issues, develop practical solutions, communicate your insights to our business leaders, partner with multiple business and technical stakeholders, and deliver changes for immediate business impact. You will have end-to-end responsibility for the design, execution and management of your projects. Your work will have a real-world impact, instantly changing the way that people get around cities.
The Impact You'll Have
- Be the custodian for marketplace health and reliability for the region and deploy actions to achieve best in class results
- Own governance and reporting of marketplace health and key business metrics for the wider business leadership
- Work closely with product and operations teams to test and roll out new marketplace and pricing tools to support business objectives
- Provide critical inputs into forecasting and pricing, taking into account business seasonality, competitive pressure, budget feasibility, etc.
- Design and execute projects that will see the end-to-end delivery of your solutions as well as frame and structure conceptual approaches to our business problems
The Experience You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, data analytics, startups, banking
- Comfortable with analytically heavy topics with SQL ability highly preferred
- Data-driven decision making mentality and sound business acumen through strong analytical thinking
- Analytical problem solving with ability to go deep on data analysis and structured problem solving for complex business problems
- Ability to marry data insights with business realities and exhibit sound judgment on marketplace mechanics
- Strong organisation skills with track record of managing projects and working on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and rally business and functional teams towards a common goal
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial, high achiever, ability to deliver projects with full autonomy and within demanding timelines
- Hands-on operator with an approach to quickly test, iterate and scale initiatives
