UberEats is revolutionizing how Canadians can get anything and earn their way. Having a growth oriented and demand centric Merchant base is a critical component to ensure a magical experience on our UberEats marketplace.

As the Senior Strategic Operations Manager for Merchant Ops, you'll have the unique opportunity to own, develop and scale Demand Generation Programs for Merchants on the Uber Eats platform.

This role is all about developing & operating the best in class experience for Merchants on the platform. The ideal candidate will possess a merchant first mindset. They will have a combination of functional expertise in merchant demand generation through advertising and promotions, operational prowess to execute with excellence, and creative problem-solving to continuously improve performance. This role combines launching new product-led features into the market, and developing operations-led features.

As a core member of the Merchant Operations team, the broader Operations team, and the entire UberEats Canada team, you will have the opportunity to partner across many teams to develop and scale our delivery platform across Canada, and fundamentally change how Canadians eat and shop.

What you'll do

  • Improve the UberEats Merchant experience through demand generation programs (not limited to advertising and promotions)
  • Build your strategic vision, develop breakthrough strategies, and drive executional excellence by continuously raising the bar on growing the Merchants (Restaurants) performance
  • Identify, implement, and optimize creative operational growth initiatives to get results at scale
  • Develop and execute tools, solutions, and processes, to improve the experience of Merchants in Canada
  • Experiment, analyze data and assess the impact of your decisions and repeat
  • Be a core member of our Merchant Operations & broader Operations team, a dynamic team of talented Operations Managers delivering an exceptional and inspiring Merchant experience
  • Partner and collaborate with Product, Sales, Account Management, Strategy, Finance, Policy/Comms, Legal and Global Operations teams to bring initiatives to life

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in professional work experience in a related field (marketplace, consulting, operations, product marketing, analytics, or consumer facing)
  • Bachelor degree

  • Refuse to settle with the status-quo: continuously looking for new and disruptive opportunities to deliver quantum leaps in performance
  • Cross-functional collaborator: experience leading and participating in sophisticated multifaceted projects with many partners, internals and external

For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$111,000 per year - CAD$123,500 per year.
