About the Role
Grocery and Retail is a rapidly growing category within Uber Eats with a mission to get almost anything delivered, from everyday essentials to specialty items. As a Senior Strategic Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and optimizing Ads & Offers Grocery and Retail business across the U.S. and Canada. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of critical initiatives and shape the trajectory of third-party investment through experimentation, data analyses, and process optimization. You'll work cross-functionally with teams like Sales, Product, Marketing, and Account Management, offering strategic, data-driven guidance to fuel efficient growth and promote affordability to consumers.

What You'll Do
Data-Driven Decision Making & Analytics
- Build and automate dashboards to measure success and track key metrics
- Conduct deep analysis of Ads & Offers products to identify areas of opportunity, optimize performance, and inform business strategies
- Design and implement reporting methodologies to enable scalable insights for stakeholders
Experimentation & Iteration
- Lead and implement experiments to validate business hypotheses, optimize processes, and find new growth opportunities
- Develop benchmarks to evaluate the effectiveness of Ads & Offers, refining them based on data-driven insights
- Support product testing and experiments, drive adoption across teams, and provide feedback on features and enhancements that align with the business
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders such as Account Management and Product to ensure alignment and effective execution
- Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders in a clear, actionable format
Basic Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in operations, strategy, analytics, consulting, or a related field (e.g., tech, investment banking)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with SQL experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Data-Driven: Experience using data to inform business strategy, identify trends, and optimize operations
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex problems and data into digestible, actionable insights
- Planning and Organization: Experience in project management, scoping testing plans and balancing day-to-day operational tasks against timelines
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to use data to drive decisions and improve processes.
- Agility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, managing shifting priorities, and delivering high-impact results
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in the grocery, retail, CPG, or e-commerce industries is a plus
- Data Analytics: Advanced experience with data analysis tools and techniques, including Python, R, or other programming languages
- Financial Acumen: Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, or forecasting, with the ability to align financial goals with business strategy
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$116,000 per year - USD$128,500 per year.
For Miami, FL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$116,000 per year - USD$128,500 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year.
