About the Team:
The AV Cloud team is building technology solutions for autonomous driving.
Key Work/Projects
- Driving dataset: To accelerate the path to L4 autonomy by designing and building AV 2.0 technology, we work on sensor data collection, processing, labeling, indexing and search to build comprehensive driving scenarios.
- AI systems: Building AI systems to extract the maximum value out of Uber's worldwide operations, such as perception modeling and semantic understanding.

Minimum qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR 3-years full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 2-years total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Programming language (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python, or Go)
- Note the 2-years total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research, or similar (OR some combination of these). The years of specialized experience are not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated.
Technical skills:
Required:
- At least 3 years of Autonomous Vehicles industry experience.
- Proficient in Python and Linux
- Familiar with OpenCV, TensorFlow/PyTorch
Preferred:
- Master or PhD degree in computer vision or robotics.
- Familiar with C++
- Familiar with the Robot Operating System

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year.
