About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Sales Operations Lead to establish and manage the sales operations function focused on partnering with taxi companies in Japan. This critical role will shape the future of our sales efforts, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution.

The ideal candidate will excel at designing and implementing effective sales processes and tools while navigating Japan's unique business practices. As the sales operations function grows, this role has the potential to build and lead a dedicated team. Success requires a mix of analytical expertise, strategic planning, and creative problem-solving to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Your Impact in Role
- Build and Lead: Establish the sales operations function for acquiring taxi fleets and onboarding their vehicles onto our platform, designing processes, tools, and systems to enable success.
- Sales Target Setting: Collaborate with leadership to define and allocate sales targets, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and providing clear direction for sales teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with Sales leadership, cross-functional teams, and regional/global Sales Operations counterparts to align strategy and execution.
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement frameworks for sales incentive plans, quota recommendations, and long-term growth strategies.
- Insights & Analytics: Provide visibility into key metrics, performance trends, and actionable insights through robust sales reporting and data analysis.
- Enablement: Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies, ensuring sales teams have the tools and resources needed to succeed.
- Market Understanding: Balance internal priorities with the nuances of Japanese business practices to foster external relationships with taxi companies and promote sustainable growth.
The Experience You'll Bring
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Strategy & Planning, or similar roles, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- A deep understanding of sales processes, especially in high-growth or complex business environments.
- Skills:
- Good capabilities in analytics and modeling; familiarity with tools like Tableau, Salesforce, and SQL is a plus.
- Strong skills in sales target setting, quota design, and performance tracking.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership.
- Language Requirements:
- Business-level proficiency in English is required.
- Strong business-level Japanese is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing sales organizations, processes, and quota systems.
- Proven ability to balance short-term business needs with long-term strategic goals.
- A track record of building processes and scalable frameworks in fast-paced environments.
