About The Role
We're looking for an individual who is passionate about trust and safety to join our US & Canada Safety Operations team. In this role, you'll become a subject matter expert on the core safety issues impacting our Mobility and Delivery platforms and the levers we can pull to address them. Using that knowledge, you'll develop policies governing how we should react to reports of concerning behavior and proactive initiatives to drive down the rate of safety incidents.
In this specific role, your primary focus will be helping to guide Uber's approach to safety for our Autonomous Vehicle (AV) partners and serve as a focal point for internal AV safety coordination across Uber. This will involve safety incident monitoring and response, coordination with customer support organizations, developing and launching safety assessments, and assisting in the development of AV safety best practices. The role will also involve some assistance to the broader US & Canada Safety team in areas outside of AV, as needed.
